FOR CLASSES VI, VII & VIII :
1.Marks secured by the students in Formative assessment – 1 and Summative assessment – 1will together have credit of 50 marks while considering promotion to the next higher class.
2.The Formative assessment – 2 and Summative assessment – 2 will have the credit of rest 50 marks.

The students of Class VI, VII & VIII who have obtained Grade E1 or E2 in one or more subjects (excluding minor subjects) may be allowed to improve their performance through subsequent one attempt only. Such students would not be eligible for getting admission in next higher class till they improve their performance.
SCALE OF EVALUATION FOR STD. IX, X :
Mark secured by the students in Formative assessment – 1, 2, 3 & 4 and Summative assessment – 1 & 2 together have credit of 100 marks for promotion to the next higher class.

The guidelines with regard to eligibility for improvement of performance in class IX & X is given below:
The students of class IX who obtain grade ‘E1’ or ‘E2’ in one or more subjects may be allowed to improve their performance in SA2 through subsequent one attempt and such students will not be eligible for getting admission in class X till they improve their performance.
PROMOTION RULE FOR CLASS – XI :
A student has to secure 33 % in individual subject (in theory and practical separately in subjects with practical) and in aggregate taking the weightage of Unit Tests, Half Yearly and Annual Examination into account for promotion to next higher class.
COMPARTMENTAL CRITERIA
• Any student, who fails to secure 33 % marks in a major subject but secures 33 % marks in aggregate will be treated as a compartmental candidate provided that the maximum number of subjects, he/she fails to qualify is not more than two.
• A compartmental candidate must secure pass mark in the compartmental test (in one attempt only) which will be held as per the schedule to be decided by the school on the date of result declaration of Annual Examination. Failing which, he / she will repeat in the same class.
Compartmental Criteria
• There will be no compartmental Exam up to STD-V.
• Any student who fails to secure 35% marks in a major subject but gets minimum 20% marks or above in it and at the time, secures 35% marks in the aggregate will be treated as compartmental candidate provided that the maximum number of subjects he/she fails to qualify is not more than two.
• A compartmental candidate is allowed to sit in the next higher class provisionally till he/she secures pass mark in the compartmental test, which will be held as per the schedule to be decided by the school on the date of result declaration of Annual Examination, failing which, he/she will be advised to repeat in the previous class.
• A child is required to take all the tests / examinations.
• In case of sickness, during examination days, leave will be granted on submission of application along with medical certificate. Leave applications submitted after examinations shall not be considered. Whatever the case may be if a candidate fails to take his examinations he will be given zero mark.
• If any candidate is found guilty of using unfair means during the examination, he/she will be given zero in that paper. At the same time, if such case of unfair means is repeated by the same candidate he/she will be given TC by the school.
• The test dates given are fixed by the school after considering all aspects. Hence, they are not liable to be changed. No test shall be repeated.
